Executive Director, Quality Counts
Dr. Lisa Letourneau serves as the Executive Director of Quality Counts, a regional healthcare collaborative, and helps to support several statewide quality initiatives in Maine including the Maine Patient Centered Medical Home Pilot. A graduate of Brown University and the Brown/Dartmouth Program in Medicine, Dr. Letourneau received training as a board-certified internist and practiced emergency medicine for seven years before beginning her work in clinical quality improvement. She went on to receive her Masters in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health in 2002, and she served for 8 years as the Senior Director of Clinical Integration for MaineHealth, a nonprofit integrated healthcare system where she led a range of improvement initiatives. Dr. Letourneau has a particular interest in helping to build connections between public health and clinical care, and the role of physicians in helping to develop and lead health improvement efforts.
